AZAM TV Came to Our School!

Azam TV is a leading broadcast media in East Africa, based in Dar Es Salaam. While covering the Bagamoyo Children’s Art and Culture Festival to which the STA students participated, AZAM TV noticed our talents and contacted us to come to our school for their kids program, Watoto Shangwe.

Let me tell you—it was an epic day...
Everyone thoroughly prepared for their arrival. Academic projects, singing, dancing, drawing, drama and acrobatic performances, speeches, poems, and agroecology presentations were organized. The AZAM TV team was delighted, capturing everything on camera!

The kids were ecstatic about being on national TV, watched by millions of people—kids and adults alike!

But it doesn’t stop there!
The day was such a success that three of our STA members were invited to the UTV studio: Teacher Ameme, Thureiya and Laurean (Grade 5). It was an emotional and proud moment seeing them on screen alongside such well-known and beloved television presenters.

This milestone fills us with pride and gratitude, reminding us how far the Baobab and STA have come over the years. None of this would have been possible without the dedication and support of our incredible community.

Here’s to this remarkable achievement and many more to come!
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Help us continue achieving such milestones by taking action!
