Support the Breakfast Program

How do you feel when you don’t get breakfast? What if you had to walk for miles to the doctor on an empty stomach, carrying a child? Would you be able to wait for five or six hours at the hospital and then listen attentively to what your doctor tells you?

For years, The Baobab Home has been making our local HIV clinic a better place by serving “uji”: porridge made from corn, soy, rice, peanut and millet. Every day, about 100 children and adults at the clinic depend on this meal and right now, the program is critically underfunded. We really need your help!

Please become a monthly sponsor. It’s easy to set up on PayPal and it makes a huge difference in the lives of so many. We have 1600 people to feed every month. For just ten dollars, you can feed 65 people breakfast and help make their monthly hospital visit more effective. People with full stomachs can listen to counselors and doctors, and will learn more about preventing the spread of HIV. Every dollar you send goes directly to making this program work!

For $10 a month you can feed 65 people monthly.

For $25 a month you can feed 135 people monthly.

For $50 a month you can feed 270 people monthly.

For $75 a month you can feed 400 people monthly.

For a $300 annual donation, click on the One-Time Donation link at the top of this page to pay for one entire month.

If you become a monthly donor of any amount, you can choose to have your photo added to our donor wall in the hospital. We do this so that people enjoying breakfast know who is making it possible. If you become a donor of $75 a month, we will send you a gift... your choice of uji, moringa powder, baobab fruit powder, or cashews, all produced by some of the people who receive your breakfast!
